(Petroselinum crispum) Robust flavor is a welcome addition to the table year round in all manner of cooked dishes. Can thrive in summer heat and survive winter freezes. Roots are also edible. Flowers in second year and is favored by numerous insects. Seeds are also edible and can be used whole or ground. Host plant for the larvae of certain Swallowtail butterflies.

Planting suggestions: Direct sow or start in flats in early spring. Regular garden soil is sufficient, but will thrive with nitrogen. Protect in areas where winter temps are regularly below freezing.
